CHAINWIRE FENCING IN PENRITH & WESTERN SYDNEY
Galvanised and PVC-coated chainwire for factories, yards, schools, courts and construction sites. Any height, any length, up fast — and it's the fence we build more of than any other.
Sydney Fence Group installs chainwire fencing across Penrith and Western Sydney for commercial, industrial, school and construction sites. We supply and install galvanised and PVC-coated chainwire at any height, with matching pedestrian and vehicle gates. It's the fence type we build most, with over 18 years behind it. THE FENCE WE BUILD MORE OF THAN ANY OTHER
Chainwire is the workhorse of commercial fencing and it's the bulk of what we do. It goes up quickly, it covers long runs economically, it gives you a clear sightline through the fence, and when it's built properly with the right post spacing and tension it will stand for decades with almost no maintenance.
The difference between a chainwire fence that lasts and one that sags is entirely in the frame — post depth, post spacing, the strength of the corner and end assemblies, and how hard the mesh is strained. It's not visible from the road, which is exactly why some contractors cut it. We don't, and eighteen years of fences still standing is the argument.

HOW WE BUILD IT
SET OUT THE LINE
We peg the run, confirm the boundary and mark services before anything goes in the ground.
POSTS AND ASSEMBLIES
Line posts, corner posts and end assemblies dug to depth and concreted. Corners and ends are braced, because that's where the tension load goes.
RAILS AND WIRE
Top rail and tension wire run and fixed off, square to the posts.
HANG AND STRAIN THE MESH
Mesh hung, strained tight and tied off at spacing. A properly strained fence doesn't ripple.
GATES AND HANDOVER
Pedestrian and vehicle gates hung and adjusted, site cleared, and we walk the line with you.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR QUOTE
Anything quoted separately — extra excavation, spoil removal, tricky access, or council-required work — is listed as its own line on the quote before you accept it, not added afterwards.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Fencing is priced by the metre, but the metre rate on your job depends on things we can only see standing on the block.
Height of the fence and gauge of the mesh
Ground conditions — rock and shale slow the auger right down
Access for a post-hole digger, or whether it's a hand-dig
Number and size of gates, and whether any are sliding or automated
That's why we measure on site rather than quoting over the phone. The measure is free, the quote is written, and the number on it doesn't move.
WHY US FOR CHAINWIRE FENCING
IT'S OUR MAIN LINE, NOT A SIDELINE
Plenty of fencers do chainwire when it comes up. It's the majority of our work, which means the frames are right and the mesh is strained the way it should be.
WE WORK AROUND YOUR SITE
Staged installs, out-of-hours starts and weekend work so a live yard doesn't stop. Open seven days.
GATES FROM THE SAME CREW
Vehicle gates, sliding gates and automation are part of the same quote, so nothing gets left as somebody else's problem.

Chainwire is commonly built between 1.2 and 3.6 metres, with 1.8 and 2.4 metres the most common on commercial sites. Height is limited by what your council or development consent allows rather than by the product, and we'll confirm what applies to your site before we quote.
