ON A FALLING BLOCK, THE RETAINING AND THE FENCE ARE THE SAME JOB

HOW WE BUILD IT
MEASURE THE FALL
We measure the fall across the run and work out the wall height needed and where it steps.
SET GALVANISED POSTS
Steel posts dug and concreted at the spacing the wall height requires. The posts carry the whole soil load, so this is not the step to save money on.
SLEEPERS AND DRAINAGE
Treated pine sleepers dropped in course by course, with drainage behind the wall so water pressure doesn't build up against it.
BACKFILL AND COMPACT
Backfilled and compacted in layers rather than dumped in one go.
FENCE ON TOP AND CLEAN-UP
Fence built off the finished wall level, spoil removed, site swept.

Anything quoted separately — extra excavation, spoil removal, tricky access, or council-required work — is listed as its own line on the quote before you accept it, not added afterwards.
